VOM as a brand and VOM as a raw material

“But isn’t it yuck?“

It's no wonder people get confused, as our brand VOM shares its name with a raw ingredient we use in several of our products.

Here is some clarification and a few facts for those who are curious, or perhaps a little confused. When we write VOM in capital letters, we are consistently referring to our brand VOM. The company Vom og Hundemat AS was established in 2000, and the name VOM has been in use since 2014.

What actually is tripe?

Beef tallow has always been an important ingredient in several of our products. It not only tastes delicious, it is also nutritious and has a natural content of lactic acid bacteria.

Ruminants such as cattle and sheep have four stomachs, and the rumen is the first of these stomachs. The raw material has a strong smell to us humans, and often does not look very appealing. On the other hand, rumen is often a big favourite among our four-legged friends.

We have a streamlined product range comprising both complete feeds and supplementary feeds. We use cattle manure as one of the raw materials in all our complete feeds, but we also have a supplementary feed made exclusively from cattle manure: TASTE 100% Cattle Manure.
