Team Birgitte Næss
Team Birgitte Næss consists of Birgitte Næss and her partner Kristoffer Halvorsen. At home in Sørskogbyda outside Elverum, they share their lives with 35 huskies, two Galgo Españols and cats Skorpa Pus and Knerten Pus. Together they cultivate a passion for dog sledding, nature and life with their four-legged pack.
Kristoffer has previously been a handler for Robert Sørlie. Birgitte started her sled dog racing career with skijöring, later moving on to sprint sled, middle-distance and now long-distance sled dog racing. She is the only sled dog racer to have won a national championship title in all winter sled dog racing disciplines. She also has several international titles.
Birgitte and Kristoffer are determined and dedicated mushers who are now focusing on the Finnmarksløpet 1200 km and the Femundløpet 650 km – races in both of which they have achieved several top results.
