All dogs can eat VOM regardless of size, breed and area of use
It is now well over 20 years since the dog food adventure Vom og Hundemat saw the light of day on the kitchen counter of Henni and Magne in Trøgstad.
The goal since then has remained the same all along; to make and deliver the most natural and nutritious food for dogs and subsequently also cats. First in Norway, then in the Nordic region, and now VOM is also delivered to several countries in Europe.
Started with the dog mushers
From humble beginnings, it was the mushers who bought and used VOM for their dogs. The need was great to find a food that was better and more nutritious so that the dog teams could withstand the demanding strains they are subjected to in long dog sled races. In 2003, Robert Sørlie won the Iditarod, the world's longest and toughest dog sled race. The fuel was VOM and the «word» began to spread to other dog communities as well. Hence our slogan; Dog food from dog people to dog people.
VOM for the family dog too
Times change and we with them. Dog food is no longer just dog food. Dog owners are more concerned and conscious than ever about giving their dog what they believe to be the best dog food for their dog. We now see daily that VOM is also to be found on the menu for many family dogs, companion dogs, hunting dogs and other working dogs out there.
VOM is still on the menu for a great many dog-sledding kennels both in and outside Norway, and Lars Monsen's dogs also have VOM on the menu every day.
Thank you for the trust
Late last autumn, in our very own anniversary year, we were fortunate enough to meet Lars and a selection of dogs of various breeds in a beautiful forested area just outside Elverum. It turned out to be a fantastic day in every possible way. The sun peeked out at us, large and small dogs in harmony, VOM on the menu, and Lars with a twinkle in his eye. We at Vom og Hundemat are naturally very proud, humbled, and thank you so much for the trust.
All dogs can eat VOM and should have it in their food bowl every day, regardless of size, breed and area of use.
