The wilderness couple
Jeanette and Jan-Robert Sveen
Jeanette and Jan-Robert Sveen met through the magazine *Villmarksliv* and the concept «Hunter seeks Wife». Their shared interest in hunting, dogs and outdoor life brought them together. Today, they are known by the name «the Wilderness Life couple».
Jeanette grew up with Norwegian Elkhounds, grey, and her greatest source of inspiration was her grandmother – an avid hunter and patient teacher. Jan-Robert grew up with Norwegian Elkhounds, black, and today primarily hunts moose, wild boar, red deer and roe deer with Swedish Elkhounds and Drevers.
In Svinndal, with the forest as their nearest neighbour, they live together with an energetic pack of nine dogs at Kennel Svalheimen – a mix of hunting dogs and working dogs. Much of their time is spent outdoors with the dogs, whether it is hunting season or training. Jeanette is also very active in obedience, tracking and showing. Over the years, they have acquired solid expertise and extensive experience in dog training, nutrition and hunting.
«VOM is an easy choice for us because we see clear results. The dogs recover faster, they get fewer injuries during training and hunting, and are never bored with their food. We also find that our bitches have large litters and plenty of milk. Therefore, it is natural for us that the dogs are fed VOM throughout the year and all life stages.
