Team VOM
Hege Ingebrigtsen
Hege was born and raised, and lives, in Narvik. Her journey with dogs began in 1980, when she got her first Siberian husky. As soon as she was able to move out from home, she got more dogs and started dog sledding. Today, Hege is one of the foremost in the world in sprint and middle-distance dog sledding.
In total, Hege has 26 international medals. She has won 6 World Championship golds, 11 European Championship golds, as many as 47 Norwegian Championship golds and also holds a King's Cup. With the most Norwegian Championship golds, she is undoubtedly the leading competitor in Norway within this discipline.
In addition to training and racing, Hege works as a veterinary nurse at Narvik Dyreklinikk. She also owns and runs Fun Racing Kennel together with her spouse, Per Sverre Simonsen. All the dogs are crosses between the German Shorthaired Pointer, Pointer and Alaskan Husky who love to run!
«Our dogs are very active all year round – with dry ground in autumn and sled dog racing in winter. Dogs with a high activity level need the right diet. VOM is on the menu every day, for both our puppies and our adult dogs. «I simply wouldn't dare give my dogs anything other than the best!»
